Worshiping With Us Safely

COVID is still sort of with us; we are still observing relaxed COVID protocols, though bringing a mask is optional but may be wise in some instances. Know, however, that you are welcome to come in person, still being mindful of your own health and that of others. If you do come in-person, please be in good health, fully vaccinated and boosted, not having had any recent contact with anyone who has tested positive and is not yet out of quarantine, and having had a recent negative test result.

Thank you all for continuing to observe these minimal protocols. I hope these protocols (still suggested by medical and diocesan publications for us to stay safe for ourselves, for our children, and our neighbors) can be even more gradually eased as we move into the later Winter months. The Diocesan Office and the CDC will keep us updated on recommended protocols.

Blessings & Peace!

Home Worship If You Can’t Attend In Person

Thank you to Fr. Chip and Rev. Elsa for this information.

The Bishop has requested that all Episcopalians who are able to do so join in saying the Service for Noonday, which is on page 103 of The Book of Common Prayer. Remember as you pray at home that Christians all over Alaska, indeed all over the world, are praying with you. If you do not have a Book of Common Prayer at home, you can read it online here: https://episcopalchurch.org/files/book_of_common_prayer.pdf

We often offer Zoom participation in our worship services. To get notifications and Zoom access information, as well as other notices of coming events at St. James, email our office with “Please Add Me to Email List” in the subject line. (Note: If you participate via Zoom, please mute your microphone while singing along.)

Here is a list of Episcopalian congregations offering livestreamed services. Go to the addresses listed to find out more.
